Terms of Service

The straightforward terms that apply when you book mobile detailing with Moonshine Detailing.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

These terms are provided as a general template for a small, fully-mobile detailing business and are not legal advice. Moonshine Detailing should have them reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on them.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Moonshine Detailing (“Moonshine Detailing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a fully-mobile auto and marine detailing business serving Mount Pleasant and the greater Charleston, South Carolina area. By requesting a quote, booking an appointment, or receiving service from us, you (“you” or the “client”) agree to these Terms.

Our Services

We provide mobile auto and marine detailing, including exterior and interior detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and related services, performed at a location you arrange. As a mobile service, we bring our equipment to your vehicle or vessel. The specific services to be performed are the ones described in the quote or booking confirmation you receive from us.

Quotes & Pricing

Prices and quotes we provide are estimates based on the information you share about your vehicle or vessel and its condition. Because actual condition can only be confirmed in person, the final price may be adjusted once we see the vehicle, for example, heavy soiling, pet hair, biological contamination, excessive sand or salt, or unexpected paint or surface conditions may require additional time or product. We will always discuss any change with you before performing work beyond the original quote. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Scheduling, Rescheduling & Cancellation

We'll confirm your appointment by phone, text, or email. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer the time to another client. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for changes or cancellations. We may reschedule appointments affected by severe weather, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control; if that happens, we'll work with you to find a new time as soon as possible.

On-Site Requirements

Because we come to you, we need a safe, legal, and reasonably accessible place to work. To complete your service, please make sure that:

  • The vehicle or vessel is accessible and there is enough room around it for us to work safely.
  • We have permission to perform the service at the location (for example, from a property manager, HOA, or marina if required).
  • Personal belongings and valuables are removed beforehand; we are not responsible for items left inside.
  • Where possible, reasonable access to water and electrical power is available. We carry our own supply where needed, but on-site access can affect what services we can complete, please let us know in advance if neither is available.

Results & Expectations

We take pride in our work and aim for excellent results on every job. That said, detailing cannot always reverse pre-existing damage. Deep scratches, paint defects, rock chips, oxidation, stains, odors, water spotting, wear, fading, and similar conditions may improve significantly but may not be fully removable. We'll be honest with you about what is realistic for your vehicle or vessel before we begin.

Liability

We treat every vehicle and vessel with care. However, to the fullest extent allowed by law, our total responsibility for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, conditions we could not reasonably have discovered, defects revealed (but not caused) by cleaning, or loss of personal items left in the vehicle. We are also not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. If you believe we caused damage, please tell us right away, ideally before we leave the site, so we can inspect and address it together.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to our services will be handled in the appropriate courts located in South Carolina.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The Terms in effect at the time you book apply to that service.
